Personal, Social, Health Education (PSHE)
The intention of PSHE is to enable our children to gain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to develop into well-rounded members of society, who can make a positive contribution to their community.
We have implemented weekly PSHE lessons that focuses on three core themes: health and wellbeing, relationships and living in the wider world. The ‘British Values’ are also promoted throughout our PSHE scheme of work. This involves children having an understanding of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of different cultures and religions. We have established ‘Class Rules’ in each classroom to ensure that children have a safe environment to talk about their feelings and opinions. Children will be able to demonstrate a healthy and positive outlook towards themselves, others and school and will proactively meet their goals.
