Our intention is to inspire our pupils to become excited and curious about other languages. We aim for our pupils to develop confidence in their language skills as well as learning about the cultures that speak the languages that they are exposed to. The main focus of our learning in modern foreign language is French.

The children will progress in their knowledge and skills in this language as they travel through Key Stage Two. We will implement this through a range of activities in an engaging and fun way, ensuring our pupils make progress through challenging and purposeful lessons. 

The impact of our modern foreign language curriculum will be that pupils will understand and respond to spoken and written language, speak with increasing confidence and fluency and can write at varying length, for different purposes and audiences.
