On Friday 30th September, Class Australia went to visit St Mary and St Lawrence Church as part of their RE topic. The children were made to feel very welcome and were encouraged to explore the church and familiarise themselves with the different features. A big thank you to all the adults who helped with the trip and to the members of the church for showing us around.
KS2 immersed themselves in the world of Stone Age people on Tuesday. There was no electricity so they prepared and cooked fish on an open fire and the day was packed with hands-on activities. Here are some quotes form the children;
“I really liked the people in the tent, they were funny and had lots of stone age activities for us to do” Sadie
“I liked digging in the dirt like archaeologists” Betty
“I liked learning about facial reconstruction” Alice
“I enjoyed watching the fish being gutted and then eating it!” Holly

Well done to all the children in Year 6 who have successfully taken part in Bikeability this week, this is such a vital life lesson. We presented them with their awards in assembly.

A huge thank you to one of our parents, Mr Lappin for kindly giving up his time to decorate our new sensory room.
Mr Lappin is a professional painter and decorator who volunteered his time to help us complete our project. The children and staff are delighted with the progress on this new space and the room is now in use. The next steps are to instal further sensory equipment.
