On Tuesday 5^th, a selection of children from the local Great Waltham school went to the Chelmsford cathedral and helped in the Windrush child project. They had to carry out activities such as writing info about themselves and family on post cards, doing a quiz and creating poems to make friends. They also listened to the book called Windrush child and tried a traditional dish called jerk chicken. We made many fabulous memories and great friends. ‘We were so grateful to the people who organised it and recommend it to any other schools!’ says the group of four, Finley H, George, Thea and Jennae.
