Headteacher Message
It has been such a busy final two weeks of the autumn term. I hope you will all agree that the Christmas Bazaar was a resounding success. Thank you to the Waltham Singers and our very own school choir for providing the festive entertainment. Santa's grotto buzzed with excitement and Team Goodwin worked hard in the kitchen providing us with delicious treats. There was an array of activities – from crafting reindeer food to face painting – which kept the children thoroughly engaged.
I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to the army of volunteers who made this event possible. To the FOGWS team, your months of preparation and dedication on the night itself were invaluable. Also to all our families and friends who attended, your support has not only created wonderful memories but also raised crucial funds for our school.
The spirit of community continued to shine brightly at our Christingle service on the 9th December and it was great to see so many of you there. This week was our annual pantomime adventure. ‘Snow White’ captivated the children, who were very enthusiastic and behaved impeccably.
Today we mark the end of the term with our Christmas service and then our Christmas dinner. These moments encapsulate what I love most about this season – the real sense of community that permeates our school.
Reflecting on the term as a whole, I'm filled with pride at the achievements of our pupils. Their growth, both academic and personal, has been remarkable. I want to thank you, our supportive parents and carers, for your commitment to helping our children ASPIRE to be confident, happy, and caring individuals, always striving to achieve their best.
As we part ways for the holiday season, I write on behalf of all staff and governors in wishing you a very merry Christmas. May this break be filled with joy, rest, and precious moments with loved ones. We look forward to welcoming everyone back, refreshed and ready for new term, on Tuesday, 8th January.
