Headteacher Message
Dear Parents,
I hope this newsletter finds you well. Today at school, we celebrated World Book Day with great enthusiasm! The children looked fantastic in their costumes. Teachers took the opportunity to read to different classes, and the book swap was a great success. World Book Day tokens have been sent home today, or will be on their way if not already received.
Over the next two weeks, we are taking part in ‘The Big Walk and Wheel to School’ event (full details on the ParentMail sent on 1st March). Today we had the official opening of our new scooter racks by the School Council and Councillor Steel. When bringing bikes or scooters to school please use the usual gate, dismount, and walk through the EYFS play area to safely store them under the covered bike/scooter rack.
Today, a group of children enjoyed a coaching session with John Rednall from the English Indoor Bowling Association at Falcon Bowls Club. It was a fun and educational experience for all involved.
Tuesday’s trip to Duxford for KS2's was a tremendous success. A heartfelt thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped make this possible. Please find some pictures attached in the news item below.
Looking ahead, next week promises to be exceptionally busy with Science Week, Red Nose Day, cross country events, and enrichment days with the RCP, including a netball day hosted here. I hope everyone takes the opportunity to enjoy a restful weekend before the excitement of the upcoming events!
Best wishes
Justine Brooks
